At Sveti Tomaž the culture is wide spread and popular and we also praise our place with a rich cultural heritage. There is an arts and leisure centre where there are different events taken place. Under the patronage of culture many groups work actively at Sveti Tomaž, like the drama and literature group, singer of folk songs and folk music. In our municipality there were born two great men who left a deep impact to the Slovenian literature and marked our place in the cultural field. That was the writer, poet and dramatist Fran Ksaver Meško and the essayist, narrator and dramatist Dr. Stanko Cajnkar.
In the area of the municipality there are many more other groups and organizations that deal with different cultural and other activities.
